The Best Restaurant
is in Stanton!
The famous landmark building was built in 1906 by Storz Brewing, Co., and has served as a barrel house, warehouse, feed store, package store, and home to numerous restaurants. It became the home of The Uptown Brewery on November 9, 2001.
The Uptown Brewery has seating for 160 in two dining halls and pub. The "Green Room" serves as a private meeting area for up to 50 while the "Hunter's Pub" can accommodate 45. Virtually every area within the Brewery has been cleaned, painted, rebuilt or replaced with care taken to preserve the original integrity and character of the legendary structure. The handcrafted bar in the pub area is made from cured and laminated wood from Stanton County by the late Bill Hill, to whom it is dedicated. The rustic, wooden floor is complemented by the original church pews and wooden tables.
The Uptown Brewery was one of the principle filming locations for "Nebraska", a Paramount Picture directed by Alexander Payne in 2012. The scene included Stacy Keach, Bruce Dern, June Squibb, and Stanton's Rachel Liester. The film was nominated for 6 Academy Awards.
The Uptown Brewery has been a first tier pioneer of organic foods, local foods, and catering, in Nebraska since 1981. We pride ourselves on using only the best quality ingredients. All our beef is Certified Angus BEEF®.
